28 and over open?

Postby jnasty » Fri Dec 30, 2011 10:57 am

My sources have confirmed for Saturday races at indoor, a 28 and over open. This is a true open, novice, intermediate, expert, 20",24", and 26" open. Im just saying right now this has potential to get gnarly! I wonder whose going to get punted? HA! Should be fun.

I've heard that it will be $1. Sounds like Jonas has been working on proper punting technique over the break.

Look for Bruce Ritter to make an official announcement, here, this weekend.
He has worked hard to get this event scheduled and approved by the T.O. and we can look forward to some good racing!
Ever wonder if you could beat that older/younger racer?
How many riders will have the intestinal fortitude to participate?
In order to get the keyboards smoking, here are some unsubstantiated rumors...
 Prizes to all main qualifiers
 Entry fees waived with AARP membership
 Bragging rights to any Intermediates or Novices making the main
 Bruce Ritter will enter
 The trash talk won't stop, even after the gate drops(Kevin Dilley)
 The winner will be over 40
 A lot of uniforms will get dirty
More information to come...

Nah, probably not going to find a backside of a berm, sitting this one out, maybe the next one. Besides, I dont need any help finding the backside of turns, I do a pretty good job of that myself.

I believe that this open class will be as exciting as the pro am if not more. Could a 40+ year old win it? Absolutely! I am so excited to watch this race, I think the bloodshed will come into play between the 36-50 range, the young guns (being 28-35) will just buy their time and reap the benefits of the fallout. Will Dilley be a contender on the big bike? I think so.

Watch for Kris Park to be up front. If Steve Spencer is in the gate, you might want to watch your position in the corners, you might not come out the same place you went in.

Bruce ritter? Who's that guy? Oh yeah, the Darth Vader looking guy with pink gloves, he's a sniper, watch for him to mix it up.

What do you get when you mix Bruces pink gloves and Jason Meltons slick shoes? A tropical disaster.

So many people could win this race, and I believe there is bound to be carnage, I just hope everyone is able to go to work on Monday.

Hey Sixstring, you have to ask my mom if you can play first.................
Jonas is in trouble with Bruce for beating him in posting this info! I will take Bruce by decision in the 3rd round!

Should be a great time and when you see them, thank Bruce for getting it together and our glorious TO for giving it the nod!

I think that was a typo. He meant "Bagging rights to any Intermediates or Novices making the main"

That's not a rumor, just the cold, hard truth....

My prediction is that Jonas and Kris don't even sign up.

haha, good one!

I'll be sitting this one out, but I am more than willing to let someone wear my gopro so we can get it all on film. I'll at least be standing in the infield filming this one.
