Track announcers, Utah history of a thankless job.

Postby bnd » Sat Aug 26, 2017 6:02 pm

Last week at the SCQ at Legacy BMX, I chatter it up with the announcer and complimented him on his skills. I got to thinking a few days later I should do a story/timeline on this position.
There has been some great guys dong the job over the years so I get started asap.

First up, Deseret Peak BMX.
Stay tuned.

Deseret Peak BMX announcers full time announcers were,

Todd Peterson, the original builder & T.O. of D.P., that lasted a few years before he moved back to California.
Darren Cook, longtime T.O. of D.P.

Full time/part timers, Roland Crtichfield & Curtis Newkirk. Roland really helped out a lot during the Tooele Indoor series & the later 00's outdoors.
