Gotta give it up for 40 years of Motorhead. Unless you have been living under a rock, Lemmy died last week of cancer.
I was fortunate enough to see them in the 80's & 90's & have been a huge fan.

October 11th @ the Depot.......

Death Angel, Slayer & Anthrax.

Better believe I'll be there to see Anthrax for the 100th time.

Today was a great day, I walked into a killer record store that came onto the scene recently.

Sound & Vision Vinyl.
3444 S. Main, SLC, Ut.
385-229-4165.
www.soundandvisionvinyl.com

So I've heard about this place on 103.1 FM, the Wave, yeah, I'm going thru a bit of rediscovering the 1st wave of New Wave....haha.
Anyways, I took my 1986 Pioneer Home stereo to a place on about 3900S State to get repaired, Interwest Audio & Video, they specialize in vintage repair. The owner told me about the new record shop so I checked it out, glad I did.
If your a certain age you remember record stores, the smell, the vibe, the plain coolness of such places, this is one. The owner Mike is a walking rock & roll bible on anything rock. I checked things out & after him warming up to me, I could of spent the next 6 hrs shooting the Zip a de doo da with him.
I ended up walking out with a double album of Cheap Tricks "Live at Budokon" The FULL concert, not the album that we are all used to, 10 extra songs.
I also picked up a new album by Joan Jett that was released in 2016 and only in record stores, limited numbers.
3rd thing, after he found out I was a huge Led Zep fan, he produced a recording of Led Zep at the Salt Palace in May of 1973!!!! WTF!? Who has this Zip a de doo da? He does. I bought that too.

I know that a lot of UTBMX.com faithful readers are thrash metal fans, like myself & this place won't disappoint you guys either.

If your looking for a place like the Heavy Metal Shop but with a lot more variety, look no further.

40 years ago, March 26th, 1980.
I was 13 years old. The DLR era is in my top 3 all-time favorites.
