Are you a journey? If your into commercial work, I think I might have another contact with a friend. You can't watch a Jazz game without seeing the "Utahs best electricians" commercials (the Union). They also have flyers at the supply houses. If that is a direction you might want to look at they have a website too under the same title.
Let me know.

steve sorry to hear about your arm dude that sucks......how long you out for?

B,
According to the state of utah i am a 4th year even though i've been doing electrical for 20 years and have a contractors license from cali but being the state does not reconize cali contractors as journeymen they are makin me go to school which after all these years is probably a good thing.

Iv'e got to work next Saturday & I dont know when I'm geting off. Racing is out of the question for awhile as I fractured or broke my right thumb and jacked both of my shoulders. My Dr. tells me I'm a glutton for punishment, lol. My wife wants to race so I'll be out there sometime during the evening.

The trade is strange right now, like I said the Union like Cache Valley & Wasatch are very busy but the smaller companies are starting to feel the pinch. I work for a very small company & we have been way up or way down this year, mostly way down. I only earned 2/3's of what I made last year. The last cycle like this was right after the 02' Olympics, the bottom fell out for almost a year but came back strong.

Talk to you later,
Bruce

Well from what I understand dealing with the Union you've got to go here.............

http://www.utahsbestelectricians.com

fire off an e-mail under "Contact" & they will get back to you.

I almost joined the Union a year or so before the Olympics , a spokesman took me out to lunch & gave me the rundown. It just wasn't for me though.

Michael:

I was told that the Tooele Army Depot will be opening recruitment for Electrical Engineering Technicians soon (although soon on government terms has many different meanings). I was told that they just tried to fill some laborer jobs ($20.00/hr.) and only had 3 of the 5 offers accepted. It was suggested that if you are looking for "anything" right now, put in for what they have and get a foot in the door so that when the technical jobs come open, you've already made a name for yourself.

I'm not 100% sure but I think you find their jobs at usa.jobs, look under Federal, Western Region, and then Tooele Army Depot (TAD).

This is the only lead I'm aware of!

Best Wishes,
Kami

Seeing how bad the Dallas Cowboys suck, maybe it's time for you to come out of retirement & rejoin the team?

Sorry, I just had too!
