2026 Big Ripper Finals wrap up show!

Postby bnd » Sun Oct 25, 2026 10:23 am

2026 Big Ripper Finals race report.

A lot was happening at Antelope BMX Saturday so I'm gonna break a few posts up over the next few days & keep this strictly BR stuff.

17 riders signed up......WHAT?! Semis at a local race? LOVE IT!

The big news for the night was that Chace Gallimore was under the weather & had to bow out. Uugh, I felt horrible after being told this, he had one hand on the trophy. I found him & we talked, what a great attitude about it, I told him he was a great addition to the series this year and made it that much more special.

3-groups of moto's then 2- semis of 6, taking 4 each to the main.
I signed up & made it thru my moto, I forgot how stressfull, at least for me, semis were. I feel like semis are more pressure packed than the main itself. I got a last transfer spot.

With Chace not there it came down to "winner take all" race, with the top 5 all having a realistic chance at the title.

Gate drops, Randall gets the holeshot going into the 1st corner, there's alot of action in there with Howarth coming out in 2nd. Romain makes a great move, mixes it up and comes out in 3rd.
Randall has about 2 bike lengths on Howarth coming out of the 2nd corner, Howarth smokes the 3rd straight, pulls up on the outside of Randall in the last corner, goes high, swoops down & it's a drag race to the line. Howarth shows some amazing skills and wins it, what a race!
1. Zac H.
2. Zach R.
3. Romain D.
4. Tim G.
5. Doc.
6. P.J.
7. Aaron K.
8. Bruce R.

Takeaways.......
- What a great series this was, we had the most particiaption ever! To end it with semis & a main event like that was awesome, thank you for coming out and supporting it!

- I really loved how a lot of novices & intermediates signed up and gave it a shot. It really makes it fun & challenging, right? That's the goal for me to see here. Moving forward, I think I finally have the winning recipe to work with. I am going to try to find some sponsors for next year that add possibly some killer prizes & more $$$ towards the series.

- Going to Wendover for some gambling? Take Howarth with you because he's a good luck charm, lol. He won a semi $$ raffle AND the main event raffle, going home with $150 bucks & the title. I actually won the other semi $$ but denied it & Zach R. won it.

- I blew out the mystery raffle prizes, Jeremy L got the grand prize lurking in the box as the last pick.

- I'd like to thank Mrs. Roubinet, Miss Olivia & Aaron M. for helping out running this thing.

- Videos & pics in the comment secion.

Again, thanks for supporting this series everyone!
